We have received many questions about our Perfect Project e-learning course. This document captures the common questions.
You are introduced to a really practical project management process and through on screen prompts such as that shown below, you work your way through the course. It comprises of;
- screen work
- an audio commentary
- an audio transcript to follow or an audio transcript on screen which you can follow on each screen
- a case study that guides you through various activities that all help to build your skills and knowledge of project management
- activities which you can work through at your own pace off line
Yes you can. We do not expect you to complete the course in one go. You can of course if you wish however you can start and stop as you like. However, see next question and answer.
Yes! You have 90 days in which you can dip in and out as many times as you like. After this period, you will not be able to get access to the course.
Delivering a project takes rigour and this is a project! This is the reason we are putting a time limit on the course. Interestingly, some of our clients have expressed support for this idea!
The Perfect Project course is a tried and tested and practical course. It works its way through a case study with lots of activities based on the case study alongside screen work. This course is not linked to any qualification and for that reason; we do not give out certificates.
I understand you suggest we team up with someone to support learning back in the workplace. How does this work?
We want you to get as much as possible out of the course. Part of the issue for many people is that when you try and put into practice some of the things that will make a difference you often face obstacles. We therefore suggest you team up with someone (they do not have to be taking the course) who can both challenge and support you in delivering project success.
I have seen a few e-learning packages and they are pretty boring. How do you overcome this in your course?
Like you, we have seen courses that could be better! We have attempted to overcome this by getting you involved through activities, tests (there is no pass or fail, simply reinforcement of key learning points with some questions); on screen work alongside some really useful downloads that you can keep. In addition, by teaming up with someone this helps in reinforcing learning.
The course costs £100 (+ VAT) for an explanation of VAT see below. The normal training room rate ie attending as an individual one of our open courses is £300 + VAT
This stands for value added tax and is a tax levied on consumers throughout the European Economic Community (EEC). The tax is charged at United Kingdom rates (20%) as this is the point of supply. If you do not live in the EEC you will not be charged the tax.
Yes, there are many downloads that will help and support you in the course and when you come to work on your own projects. These are your to keep.
This is a difficult question to answer as we each will work our way through at our own pace. We estimate that the course will take around 20 hours…but why not tell us how long it takes.
